Warfare Tactics Instructor, Naval Information Warfighting Development Center
Commander Pospischil was raised on New York’s Long Island. A 2003 graduate of the University of South Carolina, she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marine Science and was a varsity athlete for the Equestrian Team. She completed a Master of Science in Computer Science at Naval Postgraduate School in March of 2017.
Commander Pospischil was commissioned in August of 2007 from Naval Officer Candidate School (OCS) in Pensacola, Florida and transferred to Navy Information Operations Command (NIOC) Hawaii serving as a Surface Direct Support Officer (DSO) aboard USS Russell (DDG 59), USS Stethem (DDG 63), USS Fitzgerald (DDG 62) and USS Denver (LPD 9).
In October 2010, Lieutenant Commander Pospischil reported to NIOC Misawa, Japan where she qualified as a COMINT Evaluator (COMEVAL) in both Indo-Pacific and Central Command accumulating over 180 flight hours in the EP-3E.
By July 2012, she was selected as the Deputy Executive Assistant to RADM William E. Leigher, Director, Warfare Integration (OPNAV N2N6F). After a year in his service, she was chosen to be the first officer in the Office of Legislative Affairs (OLA) to lead the information technology, cyber, and space programs where she was deeply involved in the yearly authorization bill language.
In May 2019, she served as the Department Head for EW and CRY Basic Phase training at Naval Information Warfare Training Group, San Diego (NIWTG-SD) while earning her WTI Level 4 patch in Electronic Warfare from Naval Information Warfighting Development Center (NIWDC).
She has also served at NOIC Georgia as the Chief of Operations for Cybersecurity Operations and Navy Personnel Command as the IW Enlisted Detailer Branch Head responsible for the IW rates.
Most recently, she completed her tour as Carrier Strike Group TWO Integrated Fires Officer deploying aboard USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) during her nine-month combat deployment in Central Command and the Red Sea in support of Operation PROSPERITY GUARDIAN. She is currently Director of NIWDC Afloat Training PACIFIC delivering Advanced Phase tactics training.
Commander Pospischil has earned the Information Warfare Officer, Surface Warfare Officer, and Naval Aft Observer pins. She has been awarded a Combat Action Ribbon, two Meritorious Service Medals, a Defense Meritorious Service Medal, an Air Medal for combat mission time in Operations ENDURING FREEDOM and NEW DAWN, five Navy Commendation Medals, and various other personal and unit commendations.
